This Privacy Policy describes how Nano AI ("the Extension") handles user information. By installing and using Nano AI, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

1. What Data We Collect

We collect absolutely no user data. Nano AI does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, analytics, or any other data about you or your activity.

2. How the Extension Works

Nano AI uses Chrome's built-in Prompt API to run Google's Gemini Nano model entirely on your local device. This means:

All AI processing happens on your machine — no internet connection is required after the initial model download.
Your chat messages are never sent to any external server.
Page content accessed via "Read Page" or "Summarize Page" is processed locally and never leaves your device.
No conversations or history are uploaded anywhere.

3. Permissions Used

The Extension requests the following permissions for the sole purpose of its core features:

activeTab — Reads the visible text of a tab only when you explicitly click "Read Page" or "Summarize Page".
scripting — Injects a script to extract page text locally when you request page reading. No data is transmitted.

4. Third-Party Services

Nano AI does not integrate with, communicate with, or share data with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.

5. Data Security

Since no user data is collected or transmitted, there is no risk of a data breach from our side. All AI computation occurs within the Chrome browser on your local hardware.

6. Children's Privacy

Nano AI does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
